HYMNS OF LIFE = 生命聖詩

Teng, Philip - Nama Orang;

The Christian Church has been a singing Church since the day the Apostle Paul admonished the churches to praise God with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Furthermore, Christianity has its roots in a singing Jewish tradition. In the Psalms we read "O sing to the Lord a new song," and through the centuries, the Church has done just that.

Recent technology and new world views have ushered in a new age with new problems and challenges to the human spirit. It is more and more urgent that the Church meet the spiritual needs of modern man. The Chinese Church has begun to move towards a deeper theological understanding of biblical faith and its implication for evangelism, social involvement, Christian unity, and ministries to the Christian community. These far-reaching developments have influenced worship and hymnody.
