Analysisof "Christ Has become Our Rightousness" From the First and Second Corinthians Epistles, An
“Christ has become our righteousness” is a very important theme, and in the Corinthians Epistles, Christ as the body of righteousness is discussed from the position of Christ as the divine righteous, and His incarnation on earth is also completely righteous in life and behavior. When He was crucified, He was completely righteous in life, but God demonstrated His great wisdom and justice on the cross. In a double imputation, Christ takes our place on the cross to die for the sins of the elect, and believers wear the righteousness that comes from Christ, and God sees us as righteous in Christ. When we are already in Christ, we are new creatures who deserve to be free from old sinful practices and live a life of holiness and justice so that the righteousness of Christ may live in us. In order to bear witness to Christ, righteous and unrighteous cannot be reconciled, and we must be at war with sin and this world temporarily in the hands of the devil. Thus, the way of the cross is also the way of righteousness in which we must remain—whether in suffering and persecution or against desires and sins that cannot be compromised—but the grace of God is sufficient; He will keep those who depend on Him in the ways of righteousness all their lives.
